LP260 - MIDI with drums, bells and whistles?

Is there a bug in the present midi engine?

Since about version 2.5.23 midi output in my setup defaults to some strange instruments, definitely not the acoustic grand.

I get the same depressing results with LilyPond 2.6.0 both on debian testing and on WinXP. No warning messages, not even with -V (verbose) turned on.

When playing the .midi with TiMidity, some comments are displayed:

Track name: sopranOne (the name I used)
Track name: altOne (the name I used)
Track name: basOne (the name I used)
No pre-resampling cache hit
this instrument will not be heard
No instrument mapped to drum set 0, program 62 - this instrument will not be heard
No instrument mapped to drum set 0, program 69 -

An example .ly file, the resulting .pdf and .midi are for a while to be found at my homepage under:

Where have I gone amiss, getting a most unwanted result?
