Instrument Names don't work 2.7.33 / Linux

Hello,

I've just tried the new install of 2.7.33 which convert-ly now works fine.

I've found that instrument names no longer work.

the standard:

\set Staff.instrument="Flute" produces a programming error that this should be 
a markup.

I've tried other scores with which I use

\set Staff.instrument= \markup { \center-align { "Flute" }}

doesn't produce anything I get a blank space where the instruments names used 
to be.
