Hi everybody!

I wasn't able to solve the problems I'm experiencing with stems and beams. So I decided to leave the problem alone for a while and - betimes - change to Linux. (Hoping this will fix my problems...)

Nevertheless I want to bring this thread to a temporary ending by giving some more information:

Erik Sandberg schrieb:
Does the problem happen in any non-ps back-end? (e.g., the svg output?)
Every backend I tried was the same, except for 'svg' for which I couldn't control output due to wrong configuration on my machines. (No fonts showing.)

@Erik:
Would it be possible that I'll send the svg-output directly to you for control? It will get rejected by the mail list because of its file size.

LilyPond 2.7.35-2
jEdit 4.2 mit lilytool 2.9
Adobe Reader 7.0
I wasn't able to fix my problem using jEdit, so it shouldn't be any file encoding problem (like I was hoping).

In the meantime I tried two other machines (all in all four, three running WinXP Home-SP2, one running Win2k)... error showing on all of them. With these tests on that many machines (different OS, Hardware, other installed programmes) I wonder that I'm the only one suffering from the problem. Perhaps it's the way I do double-clicks ;-)

Attached you'll also find a test file with two examples. Example #1 with one beam misattached, example #2 being okay.

As stem misattachment changes (sometimes seems to be fixed) randomly with every version of lilypond on my machine, it should be best to have more than one example for any user who wants to verify my problem, just in case one example will be okay by cnance.

Kind regards,
Thies Albrecht
