I recommend to set
- proportonialNotationDuration to a value shorter than the smallest note in
the score
- do
\remove "Separating_line_group_engraver"
for true proportionality (including collisions)
- use spacing sections to tune layout (spacing-increment property)
As much as I appreciate your frustration,
