error during first compilation

For my Mac Power PC G4 with system with version 10.4.9 I installed
lilypond-2.10.25-2.darwin-ppc.tar.bz2 from http://lilypond.org/web/install.
But on the first run, when I want to typeset the file that opens automatically
at the first start, I get the following error message:
OSError: [Errno 8] Exec format error
What is wrong ?
