The idea in comment #3 is probably a bad one...

An easy work-around is to use something like this:

\relative
<< { \oneVoice \stemDown f2 \glissando \stemNeutral a  } \\
   { \oneVoice           c2 \glissando d, } >>

However, this causes warnings about clashing note columns...
It would be of great help if this particular warning could be suppressed on
demand for situations like the above.
