Can I produce a pdf on linux, and have it viewed on windows? I'm guessing that the
answer is "no", since that pdf won't have the special font that windows needs.


It boils down to this:
- PDFs (as far as I know) are supposed to be platform-independent
- if win32 pdf viewers require an extra font to be embedded, then pdfs produced on
**all** operating systems should embed this extra font.
