No, it's me.

I'm working on it; it's caused by a different behaviour of fontforge --
the old scripts relied on undocumented behaviour (this is, the silent
assumption that a font merge operation simply concatenates the glyphs
in a linear order, which is, probably due to a buglet, not true if
you use PFB instead of PFA).
