The "do" is a command to you, the user. omit that, and it should be fine. Maybe it should be "type into a command window sh lilypond- X.Y.Z.linux-x86.sh" to avoid this kind of confusion.

I tried searching through mail list and forums, but couldn't find a similar

When I try to install lilypond:
# do sh lilypond-2.10.33-1.linux-64.sh

this returns:
-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `do'

# /bin/bash --version
GNU bash, version 3.1.17(1)-release (x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu)

# cat /proc/version

Is this an autopackage problem? Thanks.
