New issue 791 by v.villenave: Enhancement: a more flexible \alternative
syntax
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=791
There seems to be some limitations in LilyPond's support for alternative
repeats:
- nested repeats are hardly achieveable (partly because of the way repeat
spanners and ending barlines are printed).
- music that has to be repeated on several separate sections (for instance
in Rondo-like pieces) cannot be printed using repeats
- the input syntax is confusing, since it requires to enter the last repeat
*before* the first one.
Many of these issues have been discussed on:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-lilypond/2009-03/msg00073.html
(please do read this discussion or complete this issue, as the description
above is merely a place-holder)
