Sorry for this necropost (don't know if it'll even bump since it's marked
fixed), but
I had to ask... what exactly is the limitation on Windows? Not that I
really know
anything about it, but other programs seem to be able to update PDFs
without deleting
them, even programs with similar functions to that of lilypond, as far as I
know. For
example, TeXmaker can update a PDF without deleting it, thereby allowing
SumatraPDF
to reload it.
