New issue 835 by v.villenave: Enhancement: use a Scheme compiler for improved speed
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=835

Currently, LilyPond is made heavier and slower by its Scheme parts, that
require to be interpreted by Guile.

On -devel, Johannes Feulner has suggested that we use the Scheme compiler
provided with Guile 1.9.2:
"Compiling LilyPond's scheme code might lead to a considerable speed up.
Guile 1.9.2 comes with a scheme compiler. I 've tried now for some time to
get the compiler running, but it will need some more work."
