Dscho / Johannes Schindelin  started a *fantastic* program to make it easy
for contributors:

Sadly, nobody stepped forward to help out.  :(   We really need somebody
who's hand-held newbies (like me or... well, me, I guess) or a recent
newbie contributor (i.e. anybody who stared during GDP) to take a serious
look at it, figure out what needs to be added (and more importantly, what
needs to *not* be added).


I'd love to work on this if I wasn't wastin^H^H^H^H^H^Hspending so much
time on gub these days, but I don't see a real end in sight, so I'm putting
it here for somebody else to tackle.  I'd still like to be involved in
discussion and testing, though.

It would be AWESOME if this could be done before GOP, though... in fact, I
might even delay GOP until this is done.

(never has the "Maintainability" tag been more appropriate)
