We can announce things in a few days:
- website
- email to info-lilypond
- website RSS feed (which doesn't work with the new website and I'm not
touching)
- twitter feed, so help us mao.  http://twitter.com/GNU_LilyPond

I'm not going to screw around with all these methods.  I want a simple
python script that sends my announcement to all these places.  Well, all of
them other than the website; I don't mind doing the texinfo.  I'll write a
text file in the format:
-----
lilypond x.y.z released (or some other subject)

blah blah

blah blah
---
and the script does all the rest.  Oh, I guess the maoing character limit
on twitter will be a problem for that.


Whatever.  The overall idea is to simplify my life.  If you take on this
issue, look into the possibilities, do some experiments, then report your
findings back to -devel and we'll discuss it.
