Comment #6 on issue 1208 by brownian.box: Some combination
of 'staff-affinity for two Lyrics may cause unwanted vertical space

Thank you, Carl!
Did you try running the code I included last time?
Surely. That's why i have added one more system to sample.
So if you have two lyrics with CENTER affinity,
they should *not* be aligned, in general.
They should be separated by inter-loose-line-spacing
(comment #4) UP-CENTER, upper system --- shouldn't they be separated? Ok,
it's not "so critical", but anyway i would say that would be great if
defaults for CENTER-CENTER would be the same --- with a possibility to
control this spacing.
Perhaps if you posted an example
of what you want to accomplish and having a hard time with,
we could provide some help.
Basically, i would like to get a picture as
in "spacing-again--UP-CENTER.png" (comment #4), but with CENTER-CENTER. And
if lower system has some notes in bar 4 --- that "A--A--A--A" would be
staff-centered (why V-lyrics occupies that space in bar 4?). Well,
enhancement --- it's not too bad, too.
Or, in the other words... Sorry, this may be another issue :-) Actually,
i've asked for this some time ago
(http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-user/2007-03/msg00192.html) ---
that link in my email is invalid now, here is new one:
http://brownian.org.ua/plain/kanon-06--musixtex-crop.png.
Using 'extra-offset for part of lyrics is sad thing.
Sorry for the noise.
Thank you. Indeed.
ps. I guess i should not discuss this topic any more --- actually i
understand that "normal practice" assumes separate staff for every voice.
But it is quite common at least for our local vocal music to engrave in two
staves, with layout i'm asking for. And i must admit that *i do not know*
how lyrics lines should be aligned accordingly to "common practice" ---
manuals say too few about the topic.
