Hello,
\new Score has been removed from all examples in the Doc now and any other
references have either also been removed or adjusted to state that this
construct should not be used.
However there is one instance where it is still in use and that is in
web\ly-examples\cary.ly
This seems to be someone's full piece and I'm thinking that I probably
ought not to touch this. Let me know else I think this Tracker Item has
been done.
