I think it would be difficult to cover all circumstances automatically.  For
example, if the lyrics are common to the staff above and the staff below,  
the
single lyric line is usually centred between them and the dynamics would
be placed above the higher and below the lower staff.  Also, when there are  
lyrics
both above and below the staves, the placement of dynamics is more complex  
and
depends on the precise layout of the notes involved.

For now I've added a section in the docs to cover the simple use of  
\dynamicUp and
amended one of the SATB templates to show its use.

I suggest this fixes this issue.
