This has been raised a few times, and will be discussed in GOP.  At the  
moment,
- undoc'd new features do not block a stable release
- we can see alterations to regtests with diff, and therefore figure out  
what's new since 2.12.3.
- a full regtest check is scheduled for soon.

If somebody desperately wants to add an issue for "document pdf metadata",  
I won't object, but I personally think the existing mechanisms are enough  
to cover this.  Regardless, this patch has been pushed, so this issue can  
remain as "fixed".
