Just chiming in with a bit here, I've been trying to run extract_text*.py  
in the debugger of Eric (a Python IDE), and setting a breakpoint at line  
107, but for some reason, the breakpoint never tripped, nothing odd showed  
on Eric's console and web.xref-map was produced just where I told it to  
go.  I'm pretty sure, though, that building the website with Eric's  
debugger is likely to be considered suboptimal!
