Thank you for remembering such an old e-mail!
Neil's suggestion worked for me (thanks, Neil!), but i don't know if
it can be used as our default values, because i didn't check if it
doesn't break anything (i don't know how this spacing alist works
exactly yet).
I have some more issues reagrding accidentals to discuss, so i'll
probably include this in a much more general discussion about
accidentals in the near (before 2.16?) future.
