Here, the slur could conceivably pass over the key signature but is typeset  
under because key signatures are set to (avoid-slur . inside).  There  
should be an (avoid-slur . best) that tells the slur to either pass over or  
under the offending grob, aiming for the typsetting option that requires  
the minimum deviation from what the slur would look like were the  
extra-encompass item not present.
