Thanks, James!  Your regtest run was a big help, as all of the results you  
found did not show up when I ran them (before my last update, which was the  
trivial (I think) removal of a double declaration - either that changed  
something (which it shouldn't have) or my regtest running script is not as  
good as I thought it was).

The visual results are still meh...I'll keep tweaking the patch.
