What you posted is fine input, and LilyPond gives me good output.
The attached file will probably display correctly on your system.
If you have a PostScript viewer (ghostview, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) then put a
line in the input file
#(ly:set-option 'delete-intermediate-files #f)
and see if LilyPond produces a good .ps file.
Other than that, I can only suggest to simplify the input to isolate what
triggers the problem, and then post back here.
