http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1316Personally, I think it might be sanest if \\ actually instantiated SubVoice contexts that would bounce all events except spanners to the Voice upstairs. Spanner endings would get bounced upstairs only if they could not be completed downstairs. Spanner starters would get moved upstairs when the SubVoice context ends.
Something like that.
