http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1996I see the bit in LM where slurs are introduced, but the requirement that they be attached to the previous note is not explicit, and the only time I've had a problem with whitespace between the previos note and the opening ( of a slur is as above, when I had a barcheck in between. The slur probably *should* be attached, but code compiles fine with whitespace. I'll take your advice on whether to amend the subject of this issue to something like "DOC: require slur placement" or to close it and open a DOC issue to expand the description of slurs.
