Hey all,

Just a note that this newest patch set slows down the regtests a lot.  So  
it is a sketch & is not meant to be put on a countdown.  I am guessing that  
there is a memory leak in it somewhere - if someone could run the regtests  
and let me know if they finish and/or if they segfault somehow, I'd  
appreciate it (my computer just kinda gets slower and slower to a crawl  
while running the regtests).
