Also, would it be possible to make lily-git.tcl use
  $LILYPOND_GIT
for the download directory?  lilydev will be setting that to  
~/lilypond-git/ but it's just possible that somebody might want to change  
it.  (besides, I want to standardize on this as much as possible)
