Comment #3 on issue 2092 by address@hidden: lily-git.tcl should using a "working" branch
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=2092What's with the dev? It is inconvenient to use. I find it ok to have a dev directory on the master repository where private stuff needing a repository place can end up, but it's nonsensical to prescribe that for stuff that is done locally.
I would reserve dev/xxx for stuff that is supposed to go into the main repo for whatever reason (review, private backups etc). That would allow us a policing hook refusing private pushes to anything but dev/xxx and make sure in that manner that stuff does not end up by accident in the repo, like when somebody's dev/whatever gets pushed over somebody's independent dev/whatever.
