hmm... maybe not.

it builds stuff without the patch (including regtests), then applies the  
patch, does another build, and compares regtests.  Maybe it needs a "make  
clean" before it does another build... does anybody know what happens to  
the regtest baseline when you run "make clean" ?  I don't want to lose the  
baseline.
