hi compiling a ly file with obviously wrong version number yields GNU LilyPond 2.15.24 Processing `test2.ly' Parsing... error: program too old: 2.15.24 (file requires: 2.15.26) Interpreting music... Preprocessing graphical objects... Finding the ideal number of pages... Fitting music on 1 page... Drawing systems... Layout output to `test2.ps'... Converting to `./test2.pdf'... fatal error: failed files: "test2.ly" the output however is correct.
