The ledger line is part of the glyph ("rests.1o").  Do you want the line to  
go through the rest?  I don't recall ever having seen this in the  
literature, so it's tough for me to imagine what one would want.  What  
would help are either examples from the literature or ly code that, by  
means of various kludges, produces the desired result.
