yeah, it's definitely missing all the $LILYPOND_WEB_MEDIA_GIT stuff, which  
means that the currently-printed instructions are at least 80% more  
confusing than they need to be.  Those instructions could/should be vastly  
simplified.

What I'd like:
- simplify the instructions
- have at least 2 different people test the new instructions
- once we have a set of simple, well-tested instructions, I'll make sure  
lilypond.org uses those instructions, and then it should all magically work.
