Anyway, you can see the output from the first example here:

that the actual ambitus of the music is a fourth from b to e'. And you can see
the ambitus displayed in a way that any naïve musician would read as a fourth
from g'' to c''' — all wrong.

Now the ambitus is displayed as expected and easy to read correctly. In this
case, the price is that the full bar rest cannot be displayed as such, but is
broken up into shorter rests. In other cases there will probably be other
adverse consequences.
