I noticed Graham has some commments. I'd also like to make sure that my  
terminology is correct.

I.e. the command

-d[symbol]=[value] or --define-default=[symbol]=[value]

is this a Scheme 'symbol' or something else?

I'd just like it to use the correct terminology.
