yes - understanding that LilyPond is not attempting to "harmonize total
horizontal stretch …"  I know now I have to shape the last page myself (and
I don't have to search for a magic option that would enable it)

and no - LilyPond does a wonderful job for the vertical arrangement and it's
difficult to understand why the same (or similar) can not be done for the
horizontal spacing (appetite comes with eating).

ragged-last-bottom = ##f  isn't appropriate in many cases

I just fell over this example, but it is not important for me - just thought
it better to report.

maybe this could be a request for future development.
