I have had 2.16 installed in my home directory (<= no root permission needed) and it has worked perfectly. It may be worth highlighting this (in the Download section of the website) for other benighted souls who are waiting for their distro to catch up. Disk space is so cheap now that squandering a bit on an important program is of no consequence. Richard
