the sentence "The property measurePosition contains a rational number indicating …" is confusing indeed - where is a rational number? it seems that an error occurs if the result of the ratio is not an integer! imo it should state that the first (negative) integer tells how many of the (LilyPond) durations defined in the second number are left in the measure. if /positive numbers/ are not wanted they should be disabled (or an error/warning should be issued) same when /denominator < numerator/r or /numerator = 0/ and if this isn't possible it should at least be mentioned as known issue or so.
