NR 1.4.1: inconsistency in the description of repeats and alternate endings?

The images are pretty clear but the wording used to describe them are not
clear IMO.
What is a repeat? What is an alternate ending? There's no consistency.
In the first example it seems that a single repeat is when you have only 2
volta, which make sense to me. The second example has multiple repeats as
the third one, hasn't it? The only difference is that third example has
more than one alternate ending (if you start counting alternate ending from
second alternative).

So  I would rewrite the second sentence as:

Multiple repeats with one alternate ending

Does it make sense what I'm writing?
