Hello, as mentioned in my previous post, importing XML files with the
current LilyPond (non-stable, 2.19.82) does not work correctly under
Windows (10, 1809). If the file to be imported is processed completely,
compiling won't work because strange blanks (not the space character)
are inserted during import. These can be removed as a temporary solution
via Search and Replace, so that LilyPond can set the file. But with some
XMLs (e.g. from Capella and Finale), the XML file is not translated
completely, but only fragmentarily (up to the beginning of the score
part). There are two different XMLs in the attachment, as well as the
screwed up ly files. In the Mac version it works by the way, maybe the
older Python of the Windows version (2.4, right? vs. 2.6 Mac) is to
blame for it.
Cheers,
Andreas
PS Windows+Mac: StemUp/Downs appear everywhere after the import, this
was not the case with older LilyPond versions, e.g. 2.19.31, which I
still use on my Windows system because of the errors listed above (I
know that would probably be another separate issue).
