Still, this shows 2.18.2 so you're not *using* the right version.

This one works, it only complains about the program being too old -
with 2.21.82 being yet another version.

That one works as well, again with 2.21.82 complaining about the
\version "2.22.0"

All three PDFs show the version 2.21.82. I'd suggest you uninstall all
versions except for the latest stable, which is 2.22.0 right now.

No, it's just a PGP signature on my emails. I do this for all of my
messages, so that people who do have my public key (and are sure that
it's mine, which is hard because I've met nobody from the community in
person) can verify that I wrote it.
