I have a lot of very bad experiences compiling my own binaries for projects
I'm not involved in. It generally is not as straightforward as people say
it is. Especially when a lot of tools and libraries are involved that you
don't know anything about.

Apart from that: the only time when I encounter Mac binaries that are still
32 bit only, is when I stumble upon an abandoned project. I can't believe
there isn't a way to make this work.
