Moving into /usr/local/ isn't expected to help; ether LilyPond is installed
into /usr/ (normally by a package manager, like you are using), or into
/usr/local/ (normally by "sudo make install"), but
not both.
Do other scripts, such as musicxml2ly, work?
There should be a "/usr/share/lilypond/XXXX/python/" directory (where XXXX =
2.25.x or XXXX = current). Is that the case?
