Dear
Sir/Madam,
I have found a
problem where a variable set to a target-specific value does not maintain that
value when used as a prerequisite for an explicit rule. The same problem
has occurred using gmake versions 3.78.1 (Linux 2.2.14-5.0 & Windows32
build) and 3.79.1 (Linux 2.2.19-7.0.1).
Attached is an
archive file whose contents can be extracted using:
tar -xzf maketest.tar.gz
Please follow the
instructions given in the readme.txt file to replicate the problem - I am looking forward to hearing
your thoughts on it.
Yours
Sincerely,
Steven De Rango
