I'd like to ask you to change the policey to generate messages for
--help output.
The the moment final dots are added automagically. This is somehow
confusing especially for translation purposes. Please, treat punctation
as part of the message--you'll never know how a single language will
close a phrase. I saw Japanese texts featuring a nice graphical circle
element (for example cf. TUTORIAL.ja coming with Emacs 21.2.50)!
