Follow-up Comment #5:
Well, I don't have Purify available to me and I have no way to parse/read a
.pv file (I tried to look at it but it's just binary garbage to me).
There have been a number of pointer and memory issues addressed in the
codebase since 3.82 was released. Hopefully one of those fixes also resolved
your problem. If not and you can get a readable trace from Purify, or run
make under valgrind instead and get that information, I can look again.
