Follow-up Comment #1, bug #57579 (project mdk):
Just taking some notes, as I will look at this later.
Register J should not take a negative value. That appears to be handled
correctly.
The other short registers should take a negative value. Trying to enter a
negative will fail. You will have a positive value no matter what. I have
confirmed this behavior is incorrect.
Behavior appears to be correct in 1.2.10+dfsg-2
(https://sources.debian.org/src/mdk/1.2.10+dfsg-2/)
Behavior is incorrect in 1.2.11 (most recent commit ending in aaec5f)
I'll compare the two source trees and the various patches that Debian applied
and see if I can narrow it down.
