[Bug-mit-scheme] How to compile latest CVS

I have the latest release of MIT Scheme (7.7.1)

        MIT Scheme running under FreeBSD
        Scheme saved on Saturday June 28, 2003 at 5:55:46 PM
          Release 7.7.1
          Microcode 14.9
          Runtime 15.1
          SF 4.40
          Liar (Intel i386) 4.115

and now I wish to compile the current CVS version of MIT/GNU Scheme.
Because my running scheme is too old, which cvs version is the
appropriate one to do this?  From which day I should get the cvs
sources to compile it with the my scheme version?
