I received a message that supposedly had 4 pictures attached,
but imail did not show me any attachments.
One of the other recipients replied to that e-mail, enclosing the
original message. In the reply, imail *did* show me the
original attached pictures, so I was able to read them from the reply.
I used 'o' in imail to write the two messages in question to an rmail-format
file, ~jems/public/attachments.
When I read that file with imail, I see the same behavior as upon
originally reading the messages (no attachments in first message, 4
attached pictures in second message, which is the reply).
But if I read that file with rmail in emacs, it shows me the attachments
in the original (first) message.
The two messages are in fact structured quite differently (their mime parts
and boundaries and nestings).
The first ("bad") one says: Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v930.3)
and the second ("good") one says: MIME-Version: 1.0
This is not the first time I have failed to see attachments from an Apple
sender,
but I don't think I kept other examples. I wonder if this is some problem
of nonstandard messages created by Apple Mail. Perhaps you've told me about
this problem before, and I forgot.
