I read in the lynx changelog:

* add a call to wresize() after resizeterm() in case user resizes screen in
  ncurses pad configuration (report by IZ) -TD

maybe this is something? what would this pad configuration be? related to
ncurses? (2001-04-01 (2.8.4dev.20))
