Dear Thomas,
I've tried precisely the things you describe which presumably means either
I've totally screwed up (hope not), or there is something odd with the
system I'm trying to use.
Is there a way to get any sort of diagnostics out of curses short of
building my own? Building my own curses libraries is certainly possible but
I'd rather not initially in case that changes the conditions and then things
work. If I can get diags without and figure out why what is supposed to be
a basic Centos system has faults, then that would be good.
BTW although Centos isn't my normal platform, I am a programmer so if there
is a 'cunning but tricky' diagnostic technique, feel free to suggest it -
one of my workmates will understand it if I don't ;-).
Thanks,
Paul D Smith
